I suppose that I should keep my humor a little bit wetter if I want to continue to avoid using emoticons.
This worksheet, in particular, happened to be one that the kids were pretty happy about. I make up others that never see the light of day here because I consider them rather pedestrian, and who needs more of that? This one, I'm actually rather proud of.
13 miles took 100 minutes bets time 26 miles in 191 minutes. need two varialbe quantities? identify two points in problem. what is runners rate(slope) in second half of race? give quation in slope intercept form.

Eh. Worksheets have their place. I think it depends on how they are used and the activities/discussions that surround their use.

Thanks! I just used this for the first time, and it worked really well. I wrote about it on my blog.
